The first CSS World Awards. Websites submitted to CSS Mania from May 2005 to May 2006
Why CSS World Awards?. To recognize the work done by developers that build websites using CSS. To heighten the awareness of the companies using Web Standards.
Contest Rules

- Only websites that are included in CSS Mania from May 2005 to May 2006 will be awarded.
- 10 categories will be awarded.
First 9 awards will go to each of the main categories that can be seen in our archive. Last award will be what we will call Year's Site. As follows:
- Site of the Year
- Associations
- Blogging
- Business
- Entertainment
- Institutions
- Media
- Portal
- Web Design (Companies and Portfolios)
- Web Tools
- A webpage can be nominated in several categories.
- Aproximately 100-150 websites will be announced 5th June as nominees for the awards. 10-15 websites in each of the categories. We have also prepared some branding stuff to help promote the event and for the nominees to include in their websites. Being nominated doesn´t mean a link back to us.
- Judges will select the 3 awarded websites in each category.
- The awarded sites will be announced at the beginning of July.
- No Blogs Media websites nor Judges' websites will be included in the contest.

5 well-known developers by the Web Standards community:
Andy Budd
Andy is the managing director of ClearLeft, a user experience consultancy based in Brighton, England. He runs Skillswap which organises free web design training for his local community, and helped set up the Web Standards Awards.
Cameron Moll
Cameron is freelance new media designer, author, and speaker. Who hasn´t talked about him during the last years?. Who hasn´t talked about him and his amazing portfolio within the last month?.
Molly E. Holzschlag
Molly is a well-known Web standards advocate, instructor, and author. She is Group Lead for the Web Standards Project (WaSP) and an invited expert to the HTML and GEO working groups at the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Roger Johansson
Roger is a Swedish web professional. He's currently working as a front-end web developer at NetRelations, a web consultancy in Göteborg (Gothenburg), Sweden. Roger is focused in web standards, accessibility, and usability.
Sergio Villareal
Sergio is a writer/artist born and living in our beloved Mexico. He's a compulsive reader, web technologies fanatic and movie lover. He's currently working at Slide.
